Hanaa

Hanaa Malallah is an Iraqi artist and educator living in London. Her surname also appears in English as Mal-Allah. She was born in Theeqar, Iraq and received a diploma in Graphic Art from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad where she studied with Shakir Hassan Al Said, a BA in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, a MA in painting and a PhD in the philosophy of painting from the University of Baghdad and a post-graduate certificate in Islamic and Modern Art from SOAS. She has taught at the Institute of Fine Arts and the University of Fine Arts in Baghdad and holds a fellowship at the Chelsea College of Arts.

Hanaa Ben Abdesslem is a Tunisian model. She has worked with such designers as Jean Paul Gautier, Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and Anna Sui. She is the first Arab model to be featured in the Pirelli calendar as well as the first Muslim spokesmodel for the French perfume and cosmetic house Lancôme.
