The meaning is incorrect here, I believe.I speak Arabic and I have never heard of Haidar.I know Asad (EH-sid) which means lion but not sure about this one.
"This was another name of Ali, the husband of Fatimah the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad."Citation please. And again, the main word for lion in Arabic is "Asad". Haidar is another one used to refer to it coming off another root.
I love this strong, cool, handsome, masculine name. The fact it's Arabic is brilliant and I ❤ the meaning "lion". (For some reason, I really love names that mean lion!) The spelling Haydar is great too. :)
