Would be a great name for a dog.
Makes me think of a large dog.
Grover fischoeder, cousin and attorney to Calvin and Felix Fischoeder in Bob’s Burgers. Minor character in the series, but plays a larger role in the movie.
I really love Grover as a name! It looks nice written out, and it sounds sweet, charming, & a little plain but not in a bad way. It's very strong, and it makes me think of pretty, sunlit orchards. It does, however, bring the Muppet to mind immediately, long before you could possibly indulge in any mental image of trees. Grover's an adorable little guy, but I probably couldn't bring myself to use the name for this reason. But it'd be just as lovely as a middle name! Despite my personal reservations about using this name, I'd love to encounter a Grover. I could easily imagine it gaining more popularity in the future!
I don't mind the Sesame Street association. Grover is cool. Also, there is the Percy Jackson character who is awesome and funny.I would love to see this name used.
I wish this name would make a comeback. It's handsome, I really like it. The meaning is nice as well.
I like the nickname Groovy ;-)
Grover Underwood from Percy Jackson.
All I can think of is the fuzzy blue monster on Sesame Street. It's not really a bad association to me.
This reminds me of Sesame Street. I don't really like the sound of it.
Anyone who only associates this name with a Muppet watches too much you tube. More people need to unplug the boob tube.
Means "grove of trees." This name tells me you come from a family of humble nature lovers. I doubt it was a coincidence Grover Cleveland was a classic liberal (wink, wink).
The name Grover was given to 19 boys born in the US in 2015.
The late Grover Washington Jr. was a famous saxophonist, who is considered to be one of the founding fathers of the smooth jazz genre (nice and pink music).
Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States of America.
It has a lovely meaning but all I can think of is the Sesame Street character when I hear it.
Aw, Grover is cute. :)
This isn't a bad name, all things considered, but it would be a rough one to have, due to the popularity of the Muppet from Sesame Street. One might as well name the child Bert, Ernie, or Big Bird, for all the teasing that is sure to ensue.
This name is too heavily associated with a character from Sesame Street to be used anymore.
Grover is a satyr (part goat, part human) in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
I can't quite make up my mind over whether this name sounds pretentious and elitist or soaked in anxious masculinity, trashy, and hick-ish, but ugly and harsh it sure is.
Grover is a skinny, blue, fuzzy muppet on "Sesame Street."
