I recently came across this name and realized how pretty it was. Italian names always sound beautiful. It’s very rare too, so it would also be a good pick.
Celebrity chef Giada de Laurentis.
A lilting tune on an astral harp, each syllable a delicate pluck which quickly fades but never disappears. Like the soft chime of wind-kissed bells, my vision is flooded with the otherworldly green luster of jade. Giada unfolds as a harmonizing choir, crafting a dance of light which mesmerizes the very fabric of the universe, prompting the stars and the planets in their alignment to hum along. As its notes linger in the celestial ether, the name, too, transforms into a galaxy woven by stardust. A refreshing, timeless beauty that will never truly go out of style.
I think its cute, I'd name my child this. If I'm not mistaken the correct pronunciation is Jah-DA.
This is my name, and yes- it is pronounced JAH-da!
I teach kindergarten English in Italy and there are THREE Giadas in total in all my classes. I like Giada SO much better than Jade and Jada and Jaden and all those names with a J. It seems like a very popular name with young kids! The name is pronounced JAH-dah, with lots of emphasis on the first syllable. There are 2 syllables, not 3! The "gi" is just like in Giovanni (jo-VAN-ni) and Giuseppe (ju-ZEP-peh.)
Not bad but I prefer Jada.
Love this name! Reminds me of the beautiful and poised Giada Gianni!
Gorgeous!
Wow I didn't know that much about my name until I found this website. That's really cool what my name means! Thank you so much :)

Reminds me of "yada," such as the Sienfeld episode where they used the phrase, "yada, yada, yada."
I'm Italian, and that's my name. It's a young and fresh name and I like it so much.
I love this name! I like 'GI-ADA' not 'JAH-DA'. I love Italian names.
Beautiful.
Beautiful. So Italian sounding.
Beautiful name. (:
Lovely, but reminds me too much of the chef. (Nothing against the chef, though.)
I like this name. It's prettier and less common than Gianna, and it sounds so much better than the tacky Jade.
In Italy Giada was hardly ever used before the 1980s, today it is a fashionable name. It ranks 13th of the most popular names in Italy in 2004, 10th in 2006.
I absolutely love this name, it's way better Gianna! I love Italian names.
To me, this is a really beautiful name.
This name is not pronounced gee-AH-dah; the correct pronunciation slurs to JAH-dah.
