Gerarda ("Gerda") Lassooij is a retired Dutch swimmer. She competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in the 200 m and 400 m individual medley events, but failed to reach the finals.
Gerarda ("Gerda") Kraan is a retired female middle distance runner from the Netherlands, who twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics: 1960 (Rome) and 1964 (Tokyo). In 1962 she won the gold medal in the women's 800 metres race at the 1962 European Championships in Belgrade.

It’s weird how this name is almost fully voted bad, but its masculine form is only at 25% bad. Both names are cute. Keep it that way.
(Dang! 98% voted it as a bad name!) I personally disliked the name Gerard already, but this just looks like a forced femininization of the name, seeing as all it has to make it feminine is the "a" slapped on at the end. Other than that, it doesn't look or sound the least bit feminine.
