Geltrude Righetti (1793–1862) was an Italian contralto closely associated with the operas of Gioachino Rossini. (Her name is also sometimes given as Giorgi-Righetti or Righetti-Giorgi, Giorgi being the name of her husband.)
Saint Geltrude Caterina Comensoli, also known as Mother Geltrude (January 18, 1847 – February 18, 1903) is the Patron of Youth, Val Camonica and Relic Custodians.
Geltrude has been used for babies born in Italy still, (2017) even if for less than five babies every year.
I don't like the name Gertrude, but I think that this form of it, Geltrude, is more interesting than the name it is derived from.
