Gaëlle is a really beautiful, elegant name. I have an interest in everything Celtic so I find this name appealing on all levels. Not just because of how elegant and sophisticated it sounds and looks, but also because of its connection to the Gaels. While as I said it feels very elegant and refined, imo it's a kind of rustic elegance, so in that sense I think I could see Gaëlle as a cottage core name. I think I have an easier time imagining it on a grown woman than a little girl as it has a rather mature feel to me, but it could be just because I don't know any Gaëlles personally.

Used fairly commonly by Haitians. I actually assumed it was a French spelling of Hebrew Gael, but it looks like they're completely different names. Fascinating!

This spelling looks very pretty, but for some reason the pronunciation makes me think of a feminization of the name Guy. Guy-Elle.

This name is occasionally given to girls in Ireland because it's similar to the word Gael which means "Irish person" in Irish. (Though Gaëlle isn't an Irish name.)
This is a very pretty name. It's got an elegant and sophisticated sound to it. Much better than Noelle, that's for sure.

I think Gaelle is a very elegant name for both an older lady, a younger woman or a little girl. It is very lady-like and sophisticated.
