Used fairly commonly by Haitians. I actually assumed it was a French spelling of Hebrew Gael, but it looks like they're completely different names. Fascinating!
This name is occasionally given to girls in Ireland because it's similar to the word Gael which means "Irish person" in Irish. (Though Gaëlle isn't an Irish name.)

This is a very pretty name. It's got an elegant and sophisticated sound to it. Much better than Noelle, that's for sure.
I have a little cousin name Gaelle. It's a pretty name. It's very unique. We pronounce it (Guy-el). Don't say it too fast or too slow and it will sound nice on your tongue.
