Meaning & History
From Japanese 文 (fumi) meaning "sentence" combined with 尋 (hiro) meaning "search, seek". Other kanji combinations are possible. A famous bearer is Fumihiro Joyuu, he was the spokesperson and public relations manager of the controversial Japanese Buddhist group Aum Shinrikyo, and served as the de facto chief of the organization from 1999 to 2007, when he split and formed a new group.
