Meaning & History

Means "fountains" in Spanish, derived from the title of the Virgin Mary Nuestra Señora de las Fuentes meaning "Our Lady of the Fountains". She is the patron saint of the Spanish town of Villalón de Campos (Valladolid). It is sometimes used in Valencia and Albacete in conflation with the name Fuente.
