Franklin Chang-Díaz is a Costa Rican-born American mechanical engineer, physicist and former NASA astronaut. He is the sole founder and CEO of Ad Astra Rocket Company as well as a member of Cummins' board of directors. He became an American citizen in 1977.He is a veteran of seven Space Shuttle missions, tying the record, as of 2021 for the most spaceflights (a record set by Jerry L. Ross). He was the third Latin American, but the first Latin American immigrant NASA Astronaut selected to go into space. Chang-Díaz is a member of the NASA Astronaut Hall of Fame.
Franklin Wendell "Frank" Welker is an American actor, who for most of his career has specialized as a voice actor, is best known for his role as Fred Jones from the Scooby-Doo franchise since its conception in 1969; as the only original voice actor still with the Scooby-Doo franchise, along with the voice of Megatron in the Transformers franchise; specifically Transformers G1 and Transformers: Prime, as well as Scooby-Doo since 2002.
Franklin Graves (1789-Dec 25, 1846) was the head of one of the families in the Donner Party. With the aged farmer were his wife, Elizabeth (Oct 1800-March 7, 1847), and their nine children, from newlywed Sarah (1825-1871) and her husband, Jay Fosdick (1823-1847), to baby Elizabeth (1845-1847). December 17, Franklin Graves and his two eldest daughters and son-in-law set off with eleven other immigrants to find help, supplying them with makeshift snowshoes. Sadly, he died the evening of Christmas Day, with daughters Mary and Sarah holding him as he urged them to use his body for food if they must. Graves and his wife both died, together with their three youngest children and their son-in-law.
