Florentia Sfakianou (Greek: Φλωρεντία Σφακιανού) is a former Greek diver. Sfakianou, along with partner Eftihia Pappa, competed in the synchronised 10 metre platform event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in her hometown Athens. The pair finished in 8th place.
I don't mind this name; you don't hear it much in the English language. I assume it's more common in Italy and perhaps Greece? Although this name isn't used in English, it's related to a lot of English names, and names in other Germanic languages as well, such as the male names Florian and Floris, and the female names Flora, Florence, Fleur and Florissa. :)
