Fitzroy

I might be in the minority here, but I think Fitzroy is a handsome, elegant name. At least as a middle name it would be really nice.

If this was what people used to name and/or call the illegitimate sons of the king, then I think that gives the name a bad connotation, don't you?

Yuck. I agree with the bad connotation, but I also think that the meaning implies that the bearer would have some sense of entitlement. It will result in an arrogant, selfish person.
