Derived from the Greek adjective εὐρυμενής (eurymenes) meaning "broad and strong", which consists of the Greek adjective εὐρύς (eurys) meaning "wide, broad" combined with the Greek noun μένος (menos) meaning "mind" as well as "spirit" and "power, strength, force".A known bearer of this name is Eurymenes of Samos, an Olympic victor from the 6th century BC. In Greek mythology, Eurymenes is the son of king Neleus of Pylos.
