Derived from the Greek adjective εὔλαλος (eulalos) meaning "sweetly-speaking", which consists of Greek εὖ (eu) meaning "good, well" and the Greek adjective λάλος (lalos) meaning "talkative, babbling, loquacious".This was one of the epithets of the Greek god Apollo.
