Derived from the Greek noun εὐκαρπία (eukarpia) meaning "fruitfulness", which consists of Greek εὖ (eu) meaning "good, well" and the Greek noun καρπός (karpos) meaning "fruit".This was the name of an ancient Greek divine personification of fertility. Eukarpia was also used as an epithet for several ancient Greek gods.
