My son is called Euan. He’ll be 2 next week. My husband is Welsh and our daughter has a Welsh name. I therefore argued for the Scottish rather than the Welsh form of this name (Iwan), in order to reflect my Scots-Irish heritage. It so suits him. We shorten it to Euie sometimes, and he calls himself Wuh-wie.
Finding a Euan is like finding a rare coin, you will probably only find it once unless one of your friends or family has one. Also, the most disappointing thing is finding a Euan and it turning out to be Ewan or Ewen. You know that they will NEVER leave you alone ugh :/

This is a fantastic name, but I think the spelling Ewan looks much better. I'm not sure why I love the name, it just sounds great. I don't quite know why it sounds great to me either, but it just does. Sophisticated and intelligent, like the name of someone sane in this world of idiocy.
Euan Abercrombie is a minor Harry Potter character. He started school in Harry's fifth year and is a Gryffindor.

This is one of my favourite male names. It's my brother's name, and I like this spelling the best - instead of 'Ewen' or 'Ewan'. I think the 'w' looks ugly. I pronounce it U-un, but I've also heard U-in, U-en and U-an. Just depends on your accent, I guess.
