Elwin

Elwin Hawthorne (1905–1954) was a British painter, and part of the so-called East London Group.

Elwin Bruno Christoffel (1829 – 1900) was a German mathematician and physicist. He introduced fundamental concepts of differential geometry, opening the way for the development of tensor calculus, which would later provide the mathematical basis for general relativity.

In C. S. Lewis's Space Trilogy, the main character's name is Elwin Ransom.
