I think Elian is a beautiful name. It's unique, its length is perfect, it rolls off the tongue smoother than velvet, and its meaning “God is family” is gorgeous and very powerful.
A good name, mo matter how you pronounce it, in my opinion. A nice contrast and a bit different than all the other 'eli' names, though those are also very good.
Depending on where you are in the Netherlands (as e.g. people in the north will tend to pronounce names a bit differently than people in the south), this name can be pronounced as 'AY-lee-ahn' or 'ay-lee-AHN'.
