I originally learned this name from a book of names, where they come from, meaning, and pronunciation. They said it was pronounced EHV-lin and I kind of like that better than the options on this website, although it is a gorgeous name no matter what.

This spelling is pretty. My name is spelled Eileen though. I also like this spelling but outside of Ireland people would not be able to really spell it.

The BH isn't silent in Irish so it could never sound like ie-LEEN or IE-leen. EI doesn't sound like IE in Irish!
The Irish BH sounds like V. EI can be pronounced two ways depending on the accent: AY or EH.
Eibhlín is either AYV-leen or EHV-leen.
