Egbert Dawkins III, known professionally by his stage name Aloe Blacc, is an American singer, songwriter and rapper. He is best known for his singles "I Need a Dollar", "The Man", which topped the charts in the United Kingdom, and for writing and performing vocals on Avicii's "Wake Me Up", which topped the charts in 22 countries, including Australia and the United Kingdom. Aside from his solo career, Blacc is also a member of hip hop duo Emanon, alongside American record producer Exile.
Oh my god, this is actually a legit name? I assumed it was one of those humorous, made up, creative names for an egg. Like if someone was taking care of an egg for various of reasons, they may call it 'Egbert' or 'eggbert'.

I don't see what's terrible about this name. It's not my favorite, but it's good enough...
This name was originally pronounced as 'edge-beorkt' (k representing a modern English approximation of the 'ch' sound in Scottish 'loch') but thanks to post-1066 Norman mispronunciation it became Egbert. :P
