Émeric Crucé (1590–1648) was a French political writer, known for the Nouveau Cynée (1623), a pioneer work on international relations. He advocated for an international pacific body of representatives of many countries.
Two people from the Harry Potter book series bear this name:Emeric Switch who was the author of A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration. Emeric the Evil who was one of the previous owners of the Elder wand. He was killed by Egbert the Egregious.
Emeric Pressburger was one of The Archers (the other being Michael Powell), a famous pair of filmmakers from Britain. They made several influential films during the 40s and 50s.
