Émeric Crucé (1590–1648) was a French political writer, known for the Nouveau Cynée (1623), a pioneer work on international relations. He advocated for an international pacific body of representatives of many countries.
Two people from the Harry Potter book series bear this name:Emeric Switch who was the author of A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration. Emeric the Evil who was one of the previous owners of the Elder wand. He was killed by Egbert the Egregious.
