Found in multiple pieces of Old Norse poetry, the most notable being the Völuspá (also spelled, Vǫluspǫ).Also a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's mythical world, Middle Earth, Durin was the eldest of the Seven Fathers of the Dwarves. The Dwarves are often referred to as The Children of Durin.
