I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet, but one famous bearer is Dori the dwarf, from J. R. R. Tolkien's book "The Hobbit." He is described as "A decent fellow, despite his grumbling." Yeah, I've got a few of his works memorized.

I chose Dori as a nickname for Dorcas in a story I'm writing. I think Dori is a very pretty name.
