It's funny to read what people have to say about the name Dominica. My name is actually Diminica and my nickname is Minnie. Actually it's funny that people say that would be a good nickname, 'cause it's mine.

I vastly prefer the name "Domenica", which is the Italian feminine form of Dominic. To me, Domenica is more musical and the "e" is a nice touch; but anyway, I think Dominica is gorgeous too.
It's pronounced də-MIN-i-kə. Cute nicknames would be Minnie or Mickey (ha ha!), Minka, Dom, Nic, even Domino. : )
