Hi, I really like the name Destinee. In fact my name is Destinee, and looking at all the comments it is really sad that people are mad at the name that they can't spell. And people are saying that the meaning of the word Destiny is dumb, like it's just a name. So sorry that you probably got a common name and you're just mad that some people have better names.
Destinee Raé Monroe (1994-) is an American singer of pop groups Destinee & Paris and Clique Girlz. She is also the older sister of Paris Quinn Monroe (1996-).
In 2020, 113 girls were named Destinee in the US. The name last ranked in 2013, when it was ranked at #918. It peaked in 1997 at #306, when 945 girls were named Destinee.
I don't really like the name with this spelling. Destiny is fine though. It's not a "stripper name" though! I don't see any names as "stripper names". If you like this name, give it to your child. There isn't anything wrong with it. You don't have to agree with my opinion though. :)
Ok, so this name bugs me so much because why spell it Destinee? Seriously why not just spell it Destiny? Destiny is already a bad name why do this to it? Destiny sounds dorky and weird but Destinee is trying to be dorky and weird! Sorry mate I hate it.
Lord have mercy, y'all need to chill out. Why the need for so much hate over something as simple as a name? A beautiful name, at that. I understand expressing an opinion, but there's no need to go around calling it “eww” or “tacky” or “unintellectual” or “misspelled”. How would you feel if your name were Destinee and those were the kind of comments you were reading? Besides, I think it's a gorgeous name, and personally, I think the “ee” spelling makes it even better. It's unique and puts a more personal meaning into the word “destiny”. Overall, I think Destinee is a wonderful name with a lovely meaning.(P.S. I don't care how many dislikes this comment gets, I still hold to my opinion.)
I dislike the name Destiny, no matter how you spell it. It seems pretty pretentious, and I don't even believe destiny exists. Are you seriously saying that no matter what happens, your life will turn out the same? Which is why you never have to work to complete any task or make any decision, because it'll turn out exactly the same anyway. I'm sorry if I come off as harsh, but this is my honest opinion. I don't want to censor myself just because some people get their feelings hurt. I promise, there are much more important things in life than a person's comment on the internet.

This name is a modern and newer version of destiny. It's beautiful and unique.
What an annoying, ugly, trashy, infantile spelling of an already trashy, unprofessional name. This misspelling makes me want to pronounce it Dest-ih-NEEEEEEE, with an emphasis on the EE ending. You didn't catch people in the old days using names and spellings like this.
My name happens to be Destinee and I absolutely love it. My mom named me this because it was a miracle that I survived when she was giving birth to me so quit hating on the name, not all of us are as stupid as you play us out to be. It is a beautiful name and I would never change it because of you lowlives.
To let you all know that there are two ways to spell the name Destiny. 1) is DESTINY 2) is DESTINEE. They both sound the same, they're just spelt different like the name Ariana- there are two different was two spell that name 1) Ariana 2) Aryana. Why are we letting names control us? Why does it matter how a name is spelt to you if it is not your name why should you say it's a stupid name? oh, you're spelling it wrong- there is no wrong way so maybe you should think of the people who really have that name and understand that they know how to spell their own name.
Don't. Just don't. It’s bad enough my own name, Madison, is getting butchered as Madisyn, Maddison, etc. - but to kre8tifly spell an already revolting name...I understand it’s French in some context, but the Destinee I know is likely not French; her parents just didn’t know how to spell. If I’m wrong, then sorry, Destinee, but I thought the French version had the accent over the second 'e'... doesn’t it?
I prefer this spelling over destiny. Destinee is the old French way of spelling this word. I like it if you name your daughter this if your were thinking of the Old French, but I don't like if you just wanted to spell it in a dumb creative way. ~Peace.
That's nice that its French, but I don't think many of the people who use it know that. I think most of them use it as a 'kre8tiv' way to spell destiny, an already trashy downmarket name. As said before, if you're gonna give your child a word as a name, at least spell it right! And the name 'Destinee Hooker' cracked me up. That poor girl. What an image she gives off of the US and our sports teams.

I think Destinee is a classy name, not at all a stripper name. "Destinee" is the old French spelling of "Destiny", it's not misspelled. I think people get confused about that. It's my name and I love it. :)
If you are an English speaker (or even if you aren't) and going to name your child--or even a character--an English *word*, at least spell the darn word CORRECTLY!

Reading the comments about "Destiny" and "Destinee", it appears that those names are considered disreputable. As for me, I'm French and live in France and have never heard of anyone named this; maybe that's why I kind of like it.As stated above, the misspelling "Destinee" is very close to the French form of "Destiny" : "Destinée" (pronounced des-ti-NAY ('ay' being the closest sound to the french "é")).The meaning being the same, it would still seem strange here in France. However, there are other (centuries ?-)old names that are actual words: Désiré (desired), Aimé (loved), Bienvenu (welcome), Honoré (honoured), Fortuné (fortunate), and so on (just add an "e" to feminize them). Very few people are named this nowadays, and those names are often associated with French-speaking people living / coming from African countries or oversea territories (Guadalupe, Martinique, Réunion).
As if Destiny wasn't stupid enough as it is. The name makes the bearer and the parents alike look like fools who not only actually believe in destiny so devoutly that they have to state it in the name itself, but who are also immature and bad spellers. This spelling is too cutesy and youthful, and the name itself will make people assume the woman isn't very intelligent.
When spelt "Destinée" (and pronounced "DES-ti-nay") it means "destiny" in French. It makes more sense to pronounce this variant of "Destiny" as such; otherwise, why have it in the first place?
