Desta

Good nickname or alternative to Destiny. Also very lovely on its own. It's very soft. I feel like it's colored desert rose.

I only have met one Desta, and she was a girl, but I can see this on a man as well. I like this name and the meaning is lovely.

I love that this name is simple in it's beauty (I much prefer this on a female). A girl can carry this name her whole life.

I like this name. It's pretty without being overly frilly, and a nice alternative to the very popular "Destiny"--with a much more positive meaning, too. After all, destiny brings both good *and* bad, and I can't think of a time when joy was a bad thing. :)
