Very rare and very different from other names. Reminds me of dolphins and delphinium.
A timeless classic painted with history and art. When I think of it, I will always be reminded of the stunning paintings I saw in high school. Brooding and beautiful.
Delphina is a beautiful, classy, timeless name. Delphine is a very cute nickname for Delphina.
Delphina do Espirito Santo (known on the stage simply as Delphina or Delfina) was a Portuguese actress who specialised in comedy roles.
Della, Delphi, Didi and Dina could be nicknames.
Delphina is a beautiful name. Delphine is beautiful as well, but these days (Or at least for my generation) it’s a bit too associated with Belle Delphine. Delphina is a show-stopper. Elegant, graceful, and attractive. Seductive too. Delphina is a great name. I find it intriguing that it means “from Delphi”, because Delphi was a place with rich history. It was the centre of the world according to Ancient Greeks. If Delphine were my name, I’d be proud to have it.
It's pretty.
Beautiful and rare.
My niece is named thus! I'm skeptical about the given etymology. It seems to mean "dolphin" (ultimately the "fish" with a womb) and perhaps gained some popularity because it was a title used for French heirs apparent and their wives, due to a shield the princes had, with a (fish-like) dolphin on it.
Reminds me of dolphins and Philadelphia. Good name overall.
Delphia is prettier.
Much better than the silly-looking "Daphne."
My mother's name is Delphine and I feel that this is a more updated version of her name. I would love to give it as a middle name to my future daughter.
Not exactly super famous, but Delphina is the name of the supposedly psychic woman on One Life to Live (OLTL).
Lovely name. Can't see why it's so rare in the U.S. Maybe it's too much like dolphin? Anyway, very nice. Makes me think of Greek mythology.
