Why would it be based off Turkic "dag" when the word "doga" exists in Chechen already. It means heart. Mothers would call their children "Degi" of "Doga", as in "my heart". My own mother called me this. Really wish people would stop attributing Chechen names and words to other languages instead of first looking at what's already in the language.
