How bland. It's basically just a letter, because that's how it sounds. Maybe everyone else in the comments are just older, because I haven't heard anyone bring this up, but D = dick. It's a very common term now, and by naming your child this, while it may not be as bad as straight up naming it Dick, could easily result in some bad teasing in the future. Please just use this as a nickname.

I think of this name as more feminine than masculine, and find it kind of pretty.
I HATE HATE HATE THIS NAME, UGH! The picture that comes into my mind is a nerdy woman with teeth sticking out of her mouth. It is even worse for a boy. Reminds me of a feminine guy who probably wants to be a girl.
I really love Twisted sister, who's lead singer is no other than Dee Snider. I also saw Billy Dee Williams at Motor City Comic Con! And did you know that the character he plays in Star Wars, Lando Calrissian, was the first Lego character to not have yellow skin?

Ew. I ABHOR Lee, and this isn't any better at all! In fact, I hate names with the "-ee" suffix. (e.g. Everlee, Lee, etc.)
It is very similar to the name Lee, maybe Lee and Dee would be great twin names (Lee can be for either gender so it doesn’t matter whether you have a girl or boy)
I had a colleague once whose given name was Dinah. For about the first 15 years of her life she was Di, but then she read Kafka, liked the idea of initial names and persuaded one and all to call her Dee instead. This worked so well that her husband only found out the reason when their children were grown up.

The frontman of Twisted Sister (heavy metal band) is known as Dee Snider, though his actual name is Daniel Snider. Dee is just a stage name/nickname.

A famous bearer is American stage actress Dee Roscioli (born July 20, 1977). She is noted for performing numerous roles in the United States, including Delia Ketchum in "Pokemon Live" and Grizabella in "Cats". Her most famous role, however, is Elphaba in the musical "Wicked", a role she played in several places throughout the United States, including Chicago (where she performed for nearly three years) and, more recently, San Francisco.
This name is cool because you don't hear it wherever you go. And although it's incomplete by itself, it's still kind of neat. I have a friend whose middle names are DeeAnn after her grandparents, which to me is quite pretty. I wish I had her middle name!
Far too minimalist. It sounds more like a nickname, and it's quite youthful, even immature, as a full name. It seems overly plain and incomplete, and it's also dreadfully boring.
I think this name is very cute on a girl, but should be used with caution. I have a teacher named Dee Hammer and everyone always makes jokes by making Dee sound like the, such as "Watch out for Dee Hammer!"
