Darnell

Darnell is a character from the Pico's School series created by Newgrounds creator, Tom Fulp.

Darnell Jackson is an American professional basketball player, who lastly played for BM Slam Ostrów Wielkopolski of the PLK. He also played for the following NBA teams: Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Sacramento Kings.

Darnell Nurse is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nurse was selected by the Oilers seventh overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Darnell Fetzervalve is the ferret from Buddy Thunderstruck. He is Buddy's sidekick and right-hand mechanic.

Darnell is a beautiful name, I’ve heard of it being a first name, but know it as a last. The “famous bearer” is not well known, but a very strong man. Ed Darnell (Yes, it’s his surname, but special.) is the longest serving sheriff in South Carolina and the third in the United States of America and retired at the age of 83! His twin brother, was also a chief of police in South Carolina. Their uncle, Jimmy, had a park named after him (Darnell Park in SC) because he was an amazing officer, and brother served in a major war (it may have been WW2, I’m sorry I can’t remember). I think it is a very strong name and comes from a very strong family!

The name of the grass is derived from a word with a definition along the lines of "stunned, dumbfounded" or "drunk, dazed"; Darnel's scientific name (temulentus), Latin for "drunken, intoxicated", reflects this meaning. Though it's easily mistaken for wheat - and is a common weed amongst crops - Darnel grass is often host to a fungus that causes nausea and disorientation when consumed. It can be fatal in large doses.

Darnell is Joy's husband in the show "My Name is Earl."
