I can just see some uber tacky parents naming their son or daughter who was born on valentines day Cupid. Gross.

Cupid is one of Santa Claus's reindeer and my favorite reindeer, who I absolutely WORSHIP. I wouldn't use this for a child (but MAYBE... just MAYBE... as a middle name), but I love this.
I LOVE this name, but only for a pet or book character or something, I don't think you could name a child this these days without it being teased, I personally don't think this is a very masculine name and it really wouldn't suit a child. I don't really think this name should be used on any children, male or female.
Cupid can be evil. But I mostly see Cupid as a female and less like a male- long red bright red hair pink roman clothing with gold jewelry on. So cool looking.
This might be cute for a baby, but can you imagine a middle aged man with this name? Or even a woman?

Who in the world would name someone Cupid?!? I wouldn't want that hippy-like name tacked on to me for the rest of my life. You'd be teasted A LOT. Do not name you child this, even if it's a girl. Not even a middle name. I mean just imagine someone's full name Ally Cupid Smith. Think about it!

This site is not about baby names, it is about names in general. And the first comment was being highly sarcastic, in case you others failed to notice. This name is from a character in mythology and is not in general use today.

No offense meant but Cupid Rose sounds like the name of a stuck up rich girl.
