I love the name Craig. If I had a son I will name him Craig. I am a fan of South Park and Craig is a South Park character. Craig means rock. It is a rock solid one syllable name. It being rock solid and one syllable matches it means rock. I love to climb mountains. One syllable names are direct. If I become a parent I will get my children to climb mountains. This is the reason if I had a son I will name him a rock related name.

South Park may or may not have ruined this name for me because every time i see it i immediately think of "ππ"
It's a fine, mature if not plain name. I like that it's not too stand-out-ish, like, if I saw Craig in a yearbook I wouldn't be like "you named your child THAT?!" I'd just move along.
I know this name isn't the most special or unique sounding. But I quite like it! It's so simple but it's a good strong name. I would never use it, but I do like it.
I never liked the sound of it anyway. Itβs not even classic or modern, itβs just plain boring and the sound is so unattractive. And that old show Sanjay and Craig ruined it.
In 2018, 50 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Craig who is registered male with the Social Security Administration. It is the 191st most common male first name for living U.S. citizens.

An awkward name, and it sounds like an uglier version of Greg. That's saying something, too, since Greg is not an attractive name. I'm glad that very few parents use Craig anymore.

The CEO of Zildjian cymbals is Craigie Zildjian. A feminine use of the name. Very rare I have to think.
A new famous bearer of this name is Craig Williams from the show, βCraig of the Creek.β.

I am Craig, as is my father. Although I am also Craig because my parents were slightly unprepared when I popped out, and they figured, "Yeah, Craig Junior is cool." I think it fits me well. I always have to laugh that it basically means I live in a rock (which makes sense, I like my alone time). Now that I am in college I know SIX Craigs that live in my area.

I was wondering why the use of the name Craig was so popular during the 60's to the 70's. Who was popular during that period that caused so many parents to name their child Craig?
My name is Kraig, and it is a very unique name. I have not met any other person (to my knowledge in the real world) who has the name "Craig" spelled with a "K" I like my name, and it really defines me. I have met one kid when I was young with the name, but it had a "C". Another interesting thing is I am both an older and younger brother. My younger brother is also my twin.
I named my son Craig only I spell it Kraig not Craig. I spell it like that because I had never seen it spelled that way it is unique and it fits my son perfectly. I named my son after a very good friend of mine who's name happens to be Craig and I really liked the name. I think it is a very strong name for a male.

If I had a son, I would want to name him Craig. Some of my ancestors were Craigs; it would be in honour of them, but even beyond that it strikes me as very strong and rugged sounding (makes sense, given the meaning), and not too common, at least where I'm from.

Michigan-born singer-songwriter Craig Owens (ex-Chiodos, Cinematic Sunrise, Isles and Glaciers, and currently front man of Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) goes by Craig, though his real name is Craigery.
I know a Craig and for some reason "Craigslist" NEVER reminded me of him or even that it sounds like "Craig's list" until that last comment mentioned it. How weird that I never noticed! Where did my brain go on that one? Anyway the name does sound cool but had to grow on me.
Saturday Night Live used this name for a dorky guy in High School that was a cheerleader for the chess team. Will Ferell played his character, and he cheered for the Spartans!
This name is very special to me. I love a gorgeous man with this name. I like it because you don't hear the name often and all the Craigs I have met have been funny and down to earth. =)
