This version of Christen is invalid! Christen is a female name, not a male name. Stealing girl names from us for boys isn’t going to bring back Ashley or Lindsey for boys.

I printed my name list and noticed that it said this name is masculine! It's feminine! And it's the name of my best friend. :-D

Just because you know a girl named Christen does not make it a girl's name. It's the Danish form of Christian. Just because it sounds like Kristen does not make it a girl's name.

Actually JuliaF, I don't just KNOW a person, she's my best friend, and I trust that her parents (who I know very well) would not diliberately give her a boy's name. I understand that in other countries this is a boy's name, but here in America, it is a girl's name. I don't know where you live, though your profile says USA, but here it is a girl name. It should be listed under that, too. It SHOULD say "m&f" but it just says "m" which I just don't get.

And it doesn't just SOUND like the name Kristen/Kristin, it is that name, just a different spelling. I don't even really like those spellings for a GIRL. Well, nor do I like any of those for a boy, but that's just me.

So, um, yeah someone should really make that so it says m&f because it actually is a girl name, too.

Although this name is normally a female name my partner Christen would like it to be known that there are actually guys that have this name too.
