Chrissy is also used as a diminutive of Christiana, Christopher, Christian, Christmas, Chreistos, Christos, Christ, etc. Chrissy is also used as a masculine name in English, as a diminutive of Christopher, Christian, Christmas, Chreistos, Christos, Christ, etc. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be updated from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine".Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrissy
My favourite character on Stranger Things is named Chrissy. She is a popular cheerleader who defies the stereotype. She is on season 4.
My English teacher calls one of my classmates (Christopher) Chrissy because she thought that it was really cute. I don’t really like this name that much (I think it sounds girly) because I keep thinking of the word prissy.I like the name Christy or Kristy more.
Prissy Chrissy in a frilly dress... nope. I'd much prefer Kristy or even Chris, not this.
Sounds very prissy, I prefer Christy or Chris. I like those as a nickname for Christine.
I really like this name for both genders, but only as a nickname. For a boy I like Christopher and a girl I like Christina or Christiana. Really nice name and ages well in my opinion.
My name is Christianne, growing up, no one said it correctly or spelled it correctly. Then family members started calling me "Chris" for short, which I hated because that sounds like a boy's name. I told my mom I liked Crissy (with no h), but she refused to call me that, lol. Anyway, Crissy stuck with me, and I have used it ever since, although, a lot of times, people mess up and call me "Christy" anyway, go figure!
My boyfriend's name is Christopher and he told me his aunt would sometimes call him Chrissy, so I call him Chrissy sometimes. He doesn't mind.
Crissy (spelled with no H) was the name of a fashion doll manufactured by the Ideal Toy Corporation in the 60s and 70s.
Well, Chrissy is a name with h, but I don't like names with h.
It is also spelled "Chrissie."
I think it's ok on girls but I'd prefer Christi, and believe it or not I think it's an ok nickname for guys, but only as a playful nickname.
Quite pretty. What I like about it is that it belonged (with a different spelling) to Krissy Taylor, the model who is my favourite celebrity EVER. I love her!
Krissy (spelt this way) is the name of Barbie's youngest sister.
I adore this name. I met a girl called Chrissy (it wasn't short for anything) and she was an angel.
Today, Chrissy is the most common nickname for Christine and Christina since Chris is seen as a boy's name (there are some women who go by Chris).
I think this name makes more sense as a nickname to Christine or Christina. But it's a cute name. :)
The name Chrissy was given to 48 baby girls born in the US in 2012.
My sister's name is Chrissy and it is just the most wonderful name anyone has ever known! Her real name is Christianna my mom and dad named her this because they love the name Chrissy and Anna was my mom's grandma's name.
The nickname is far too immature and cutesy, but I don't find it cute at all. Since the name rhymes with the adjectives 'pissy' and 'prissy', the name just isn't as safe as it would have been a decade ago.
Uck, I HATE this name! My name is Christina, (I prefer Christy) and people will call me Chrissy. I usually scream and freak out when this happens. Why? Reminds me of the word word "prissy" and Suzanne Sommers ditzy character in Three's Company.
We call my uncle this, but it's spelled Chrisie. It's short for Christopher. And no, he's not gay. People think that because Chrisie is a girlish name.
Chrissy/Chrissie is also a nickname for Christina.
