Chika Unigwe is a Nigerian-born author and she writes in English and Dutch. In April 2014 she was selected for the Hay Festival's Africa39 list of 39 Sub-Saharan African writers aged under 40 with potential and talent to define future trends in African literature. Previously based in Belgium, she now lives in the United States.
This really doesn't seem like a legitimate name. Can anyone confirm this, even? Yeah, it's definitely a name but mostly has Japanese origins.

Obviously a name can have so many different origins, like the Japanese name "Marika", which can be Greek or Hungarian. "Chika" can be Japanese as it is African, or even the Spanish word "chica".
