I think this name can work on either sex. Spelling it Casie or Kasie makes it look more feminine. You could also go with Cassie or Cassandra to make the sex even more obviously female. To make the name more obviously male, there’s Kaden or Kade.
I like Casey when it's spelled this way, like the surname. I like it for any gender. I dislike the invented spellings like Kacie and Kaycee. KC is okay as a nickname if the person's initials are K.C., though.
I actually love androgynous names like this on a guy, and every man named Casey was a sweetheart. I also view it as a very humble name, but it could fit a stylish sophisticated person as well. Don't care for it on a girl as much, but that's just me. I think it has more personality on a guy.

I've only known two male Caseys - the most current one being my sister's boyfriend - and have never met a female Casey, but I can definitely see it as a unisex name. Even before meeting the Caseys I know, I always thought of it as an exclusively girl-name from the character portrayed by Drew Barrymore in Scream!
This name sounds not good as a male name. Too soft and immature as a male name. Even for a female it feels a little bit dry, childish, really not much appeal. Maybe as some nickname for another name, but as a full name, pretty boring. Just, I don't like it!
I have a female friend named Casey that I went to school with, and I also have a little cousin named Casey (Male) I like this name for both boys and girls. It sounds like a girl name as well as a boy name.

If I were to change my name I would be Casey. I love this name, it's not youthful at all... It's a good idea to name your kid Casey, boy or girl.
My first name is Casey, and I’m a girl! I’m not really a huge fan of the name, but I don’t dislike it either! Casey is kind of a cute name, and since it’s unisex, it’s acceptable for either gender, male or female. I do prefer Casey for a girl, but that’s probably only because Casey is my first name, and I’m a girl. I understand it’s more of a boy’s name. ‘Casey’ is just one of those traditional male names that’s easy to convert into a unisex name, but not a strict girl’s name, like Madison, Ashley, Kelly, or Leslie. I’d rather be named Casey than ‘John’ or ‘Michael’, unless I was male. I like the meaning of the name. The meaning isn’t strictly masculine. Casey means “vigilant”, and women can be vigilant too! Casey isn’t all that common, popular, or trendy, especially for females! Yet I’ve met so many people of both genders named Casey. Overall, it’s a nice name.
I'm a girl and this is my name. I like it because it’s unique and I haven’t bumped into many other girls (or boys) called Casey. I don’t feel like there’s much of a spark to it though, it feels like such a dull name but I guess I could just be saying that because it’s the name I’ve had all my life.
This name is cute, I see it as a unisex name. I prefer it more for a boy though.

This is my name, and I’m not really a huge fan of it. I’ve just realized that Casey was originally a boy’s name and it’s always been more popular for boys than girls, while every other unisex name such as Riley grew popularity in feminine usage as Casey stayed behind. I think Casey is slightly more of a boy’s name. I’m not wishing for my name to be just for the other sex. I’m just saying that it is a unisex name, and it suits both boys and girls, but it’s more male-oriented. But since I’m a girl, it fits me in a unique way. My middle name is also traditionally masculine and it’s nothing like Lindsey, but that’s probably because my parents really wanted a boy. Oh well.
Casey originates from Israel and means "Dawn"... it also means BRAVE. I named my oldest son Casey. He is a very handsome young man and yes, he is very brave. He is also a United States Marine. I like that it is less common for guys names because it makes him a little more unique. Even though there are versions of it for females (CASEY) being the male version and spelling, the name has never taken away from his masculinity for a moment. It is his middle name, but he has gone by Casey all of his life. I also have a unisex name, Rene, which is the male version of spelling of that name. I like it because it makes my spelling and me different from most other females with that name. I would encourage Moms to name their boys Casey because it is a great name! Never regretted it for a moment.
I really like this name but it's a little too simple for my taste. Don't get me wrong I actually like this name and it is good for either sex. Whenever I hear this name it makes me think of the dog with an amputated leg from Clifford the Big Red Dog.
My name is Casey and I’m female. I know Casey is a rare name for girl, while Kasey is a common name for girl. But don’t worry! I’m not mad! Just disappointed! Because Skylar, Riley, Jamie, Eden, and Taylor aren’t rare girl names. It’s okay if Casey is a unisex name. But if you think Logan and Mason are names for girls that are okay, so is Casey. I’m not used to the fact that names like Sasha and Lindsey/Lindsay are unisex, but I wasn’t expecting Charlie to be more popular for girls! In my personal opinion, I think Casey is great with both male and female, but I definitely prefer Casey on a female. Regardless of how it’s spelled! Speaking of that, the spelling of Casey doesn’t matter for either gender. You could spell Kacie/Kasie/Kasey/Kacey/Kaci on a girl or boy! Thank you and good night!

We named our daughter Casey, in 1983. It was the only name we agreed on and I didn't really like it then and I don't really like it now. I liked the meaning of it, BRAVE. She would be the younger sister of a physically challenged sister and we knew she would need to be brave throughout her life. She has proved to be not only brave, but a funny, compassionate, and smart young woman! She doesn't like her name either. Most of her mail is addressed to "Mr." which annoys her and the fact it is a common dog name really annoys her! Ooops, my bad! She is a professional and I think it does cross over from child to adult very well.
I'm a teenage female who was given the name Casey and have suffered with everyone assuming that as I'm a girl, it should be spelled oddly. This never made sense to me as I was named after my nana Catharine. Ca-sey but honestly, most of the new edgy spellings of this are terrible. Stick with either Casey or Casie at a push.

My name is Casey and I personally really like it. It suits me well, because I see it as the perfect balance between not too girly and frilly and also not extremely masculine at the same time. It's just a casual name that describes me, a casual person who is just laid back and easy going. One of the really beautiful and very girly/frilly, formal names just wouldn't suit me. I also think that Casey looks pretty on paper and sounds pretty nice too. I prefer my spelling over the alternative ones, although I am pretty traditional in general and am not fond of many alternate spellings of any name. This can also be used as a guy's name too, although I have met many more girls who share my name than guys. It is a great name all around, and to me, describes someone who is laid back, easy going, likes to have fun, and is not too uptight. It's a very casual and fun name.

I guess it would be okay on a girl who strips for a living, but if a guy said to me "Hi, my name is Casey!" I would automatically assume he's either gay or a tranny.
When I was younger I always wanted to change my name, but now I find it not as common, which I love. Mine is also spelled Casie, which is more uncommon.
To be honest, I absolutely love that my name is spelt 'Kayce' and not 'Casey' - yet it's always disregarded by others as not being the proper spelling and people always pronounce it wrong. Honestly, back off the name - any other way of spelling it is great; I don't even like the 'original' way of spelling it.

My name is Casey, and I am a female. I like it because it is pretty on paper and not so common that almost everyone has it. The sound of it is meh. I can deal with it, but it's not fun to say or cool sounding or anything. That said, I wouldn't have any other name because I'm a Casey.

I forgot that this was a unisex name. Casey sounds too feminine to be used for a boy in my opinion. Also Casey Anthony RUINED this name for me.
I love the name Casey for both guys and girls. It does have a more youthful character to it, as a lot of Caseys are sports stars (according to Wikipedia). I have a unisex name myself, and find that people with unisex names tend to be more attractive than those single gender names. Of course, I would say that! Interestingly enough, "Casey" is the top name for plumbers in the US (http://nameberry.com/blog/occupational-baby-names-a-journalist-named-jonah-an-accountant-named-adele).

My name is spelled Kacie. I hated my name growing up and shortened it to KC because those are my initials. I disliked my name because it was so different and everyone pronounced it wrong and I could never find it anywhere. I was born in 1980. Now I love my name. I get so many compliments on it, especially when I have to spell it out for people who automatically think it's spelled Casey. It can be a pain to have to spell it every time you give your name, but now that I'm older, I just enjoy it, because it's different, and there's nothing wrong with being different. I'm also a business woman and feminine, so to say the name doesn't say business or is masculine is anything but.
I think it's a really cute name, especially for girls.

I'm surprised Casey Anthony hasn't completely torpedoed this name, but it seems to have continued the downward slide it was already on at a pretty steady pace.

I knew a boy with this name. Honestly... I don't like it being used for EITHER genders. :/ Seriously, I just DON'T get the appeal of this name. It makes me think of the word "case" and items such as suitcases, briefcases and phone cases. To "get on someone's case" means to "berate, or complain to somebody, especially to find fault or criticize"- I guess this is what I've basically done to those who love this name but hey, that's just my opinion.

I really really like this name for both girls and boys, but absolutely hate other ways of spelling it: Kaci, Kacey, Kaycey etc. In my opinion they just scream white trash!
And here we go with the "oh, this is a boy's name? Oh well, I'm going to give it to my daughter. Maybe if I change the spelling, it'll sound more feminine!" No. Casey was originally a boy's name, and unlike Evelyn and Vivian, it should always remain a boy's name. I have to say it does sound a lot more feminine than say, Madison or Taylor, but I still prefer to use names for their original genders. And no, spelling it in some horribly childish, "creative" way like kasey, kaycee, or kaci does not make it acceptable. That's even worse than the original spelling.

My rambunctious, imaginative, affectionate, beautiful daughter's name is Casey. She is three, incredibly friendly, confident, independent, and playful. She is everything I could want in a child, and her name fits her perfectly. It is not too frilly, expecting her to be a girly-girl, and it's not too masculine, expecting her to be a toughie. She's under no obligations from her name, and it fits her like a glove. I disagree with comments saying that Casey Anthony has ruined the name--what about Charles Manson and Son of Sam? If you meet a child named Sam or Charles, would you really think terribly of that child? And, to the comment saying that no one can imagine an adult Casey, please believe me when I say I know an adult woman named Casey, she is kind, intelligent, fun and successful. All I could hope for my baby to be. I think this is a marvelous name for both sexes, so versatile, without being too much of anything.
I prefer this name for a boy. I think for a girl an alternative spelling would be better. I think Casey Anthony has ruined this name for girls. I think Kaci for a girl.

For a boy, I would spell it "Casey", and "Casey" ONLY! For other spelling variations, even just "Kasey" I would use on a girl. I like Kaycee.
Personally, I think Casey on a girl is incredibly chavvy. It's ghastly on a girl, really, it is. Can you imagine a business woman named Casey? No, you can't, because it doesn't work on a grown woman. Casey on a male is handsome. You can imagine a grown man named Casey, it works well on a man and a young boy.

One of the few names that is still pretty much split equally between genders. The only other name I can think of is Riley, perhaps Taylor. I admit I prefer it slightly more for a boy, but a girl is fine too. I do like Kasey, or Kacie for a girl, but you would safer just spelling it the original way.
My kitten's name is Casey. He's the sweetest, cutest kitty ever! I have always liked this name, and it's adorable on anyone, boy, girl, cat, dog, etc! I also find it cool that the name is said to mean courage and is associated with lions, and lions are cats!

I can't say I love the feminine version of Casey as much as I like the male version of Casey. ( I'm sorry, I've just met a lot of not-so-nice girls named Casey. It's left a bad taste in my mouth.) There's just a mouth-watering image I imagine when I think of a guy named Casey.
I've always liked Kaci for a girl, and Casey for a boy (call him either Casey or Case). I think I've always leaned more towards Casey for a boy since I first saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a little girl, and developed my first ever "crush" on Casey Jones!

My name is Casey and I am female. I didn't used to like my name being it was very uncommon and those who had it were boys. Now, in my late 20's, I love my name because it is still uncommon and a little bit different. And, I just think it is a cute name. And, most of all, I love that I spell it, in it's original form, CASEY.
This name is rubbish on men and women alike, so I wouldn't name my child this. On little boys, it sounds okay. On men, it sounds like the name of a guy who remains on the level of an annoying, sexist, immature frat boy way until his forties. On women, it sounds absolutely ridiculous. The name is too youthful, and too masculine for women.
I know several Caseys, and I prefer it for a girl rather than a boy. I also like this spelling of Casey rather than 'Kasey' or 'Kacey', which I have seen a few times.
I love this name! My friend's name is Casey and he is a boy. And since I am a girl, and I say Casey's my friend, people usually think Casey's a girl. I really don't like this name at all for a girl's name. It is a beautiful boy's name, though! :D
It seems more like a boy name to me than a girl name.

Casey is one of my favourite names, but I find it ruined by all of the kreatyve spellings! Maybe it's just me, but I hate when people think that it's /different/ to spell their name Kaci, or Casea. It's the same name, and it's not unique at all!
Though I have a female cousin who bears the name Casey I prefer it for male. The cutesy spellings like Kaci, Kacie, etc. are all horrible versions of the name.
I think that this name sounds too feminine for a boy, yet too masculine for a girl. That said, it is a rather cute name.

I have always liked the name Casey and do prefer it for a girl. I also like the spelling Kacey but I would use the spelling Casey for ease of spelling.

One of my exes was named Casey, but he spelled it KC. I thought that was rather cheesy, since the original name is great to begin with, and the letters didn't even stand for anything.

I have always felt that Casey was a bit feminine for a boy even though it has been used more for boys. Not a bad name though.

You can spell it Casie, Cassy and Cassy. It is short for Charis. A beautiful name if I may say so myself.
Personaly, I think that the name Casey is one of the cutest names there is! Some people think that it should be spelled different, but in my eyes this is the best way. Even when the Casey has grown up, this name will still be appropriate!
