It is my last name and every year my family has hosted a Caroling with the Carroll's party before Christmas, it is a very handy name.

I like this name for male. I actually do know a male Carroll, which happens to be his middle name. He prefers it to his first name. I think it is a fairly unique name, and I associate it with a very musical and fun person.

My paternal grandfather's name (Carroll William). It holds a special signifigance for me because of that - I never got to meet my grandad as he died before I was born. Very nice (it's Irish - of course it's nice) sound to it, too, and a pleasing spelling aesthetically.
