I like this name. It sounds melodic. It has nice nickname potential too, like Cam or Bri. It does remind me of the Cambrian period, but that just makes the name more interesting in my opinion.

I've seen the variation Cambrya. Personally, I don't like it as the pronunciation may be misconstrued as Cam-Bry-uh instead of Cam-bree-uh.

The Cambrian is a period of geologic time. It was named after the country of Wales, where rocks and fossils from this time are found. Cambria is a beautiful name, and I would consider it for a girl.

Boy, does this name suck. It sounds like the name of a car ('Experience the new 2012 Cambria!'). Cold, sterile, and completely lifeless.

My cousin's name is Kambri. Her parents "invented" the name (along with all of her siblings'), but its resemblance to the name Cambria is uncanny. I think she could safely say that her name is a form of Cambria.

Cambria also means "The beginning of life" as in the Cambrian time period. Plus, Cambria is a character from my favorite band's concept story line in all of thier songs, Coheed and Cambria. Coheed is the husband of Cambria. They both are iroBOTs and can destroy the entire universe. But, they have a stopper to the virus injected into them through the sting of a dragonfly, but after they have 3 children. The children got the virus, but a worse version of ti, called the Monstar. Jesse, another iroBOT convinces Coheed to kill his children, which he does, all except for Claudio. Claudio gets killed later on in the story anyways (by the coolest way possible, he gets his head chopped off by a gilletine). The comics and lyrics are written by Claudio Sanchez. Members of the band are Travis Steever, Josh Eppard (recently left band), and Micheal Todd (also left).

My name is actually a variation of Cambria, my name is Cambri. I've seen my name spelled different ways (both as a misspelling and just a different spelling for others) such as: Cambry, Cambri, Cambrie, and Kambri. I've also found different meanings for the name Cambri, for example, Little Angel, Righteous, and Alluring One. One day it would be nice to see my name on this site, not just as a variation to Cambria, but as just Cambri.
