I think I'm going to use this name in a book. I think it has a sort of roughness and aloofness to it but also a bit of a military vibe, which perfectly describes this character. I think I prefer Kade or Caden, but those have sort of a less edgy vibe to them, so I'm going with this.

Don't care much for the trendy Caden, but I dig Cade! It's simple, yet has a cool/edgy vibe to it. It's unique & it also sounds sexy on a man, so it will age well. The name would pair well with a sister named Carmen, which I also consider a simple, yet edgy/bold name as well.
I used to like this name. Then I realized how much it sounded like Al Qaeda and it lost its appeal.

Can anyone suggest or know of a feminine version of this name? I also am very taken by it but would like to use it on a possible future daughter. Don't see any mention of any women with this name, or know of any myself. Any suggestions or guidance is appreciated! I am thinking Cada or Caida to ensure the proper long A pronunciation of the first syllable.
I really love this name. It’s not overused, but won’t get mispronounced or misspelled too often. It’s simple, fresh, and ages very well. Much better than the youthful and trendy ‘Caden’. I would love to name a future son this!
We did name our first born Cade Harper Hawkins. It really is important how you choose names. He lives up to his strong and creative name as he has published an ebook "Frog Boy" born 9/23/97. He does not care from whom we borrowed his middle name Harper Lee- to kill a mockingbird.
Cade Yeager is the main human protagonist from the fourth installment in the Transformers film series, Transformers: Age of Extinction, played by Mark Wahlberg.
I named my son Cade. My name is Scarlett from the book Gone With The Wind. There is a character in the book named Cade. It is also Welsh, it means small battle which he is. It means gentle, which he is. It means barrel like which is what I looked like when I was pregnant. It is also Irish which we are. It is in my family tree in the 1800's four times. Seemed fitting.
I think I like the name Kaden more than Cade now. Cade is OK but the name Kaden is just wow! :D.

I derived it from Cadel Evans, Tour de France winner 2011. Wikipedia: 'The story of Jack Cade's Rebellion was dramatized by William Shakespeare in his play, Henry VI.'
I think Cade is a really unique name. It's one that you don't often hear, but I like it. I think Cade would make a great middle name, I'm not so sure about it being a first name though.
My brother, born 1977, is named Cade. My mother chose this name because of its Southern (Kentucky & Tennessee) and Irish roots. People compliment his name all the time! It's simple and strong.
Cade is a variant of the Welsh name Cadell, meaning spirt of battle. Another variant is Cadoc, which is a Welsh saint of the sixth century.
