Brandi Chastain is an American retired soccer player, two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion, two-time Olympic gold-medalist, coach, and sports broadcaster. She played for the United States national team from 1988 to 2004. In her 192 caps on the team, she scored 30 goals playing primarily in the defender and midfielder positions. She scored a World Cup-winning penalty shootout goal against China in the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final.
My sister's name was originally Brandi, until she had it legally changed to Hannah. She was tormented in school for being nothing but trash. She was and is an amazing person! Don't use this name. She was terribly bullied in school, and had a horrible time getting people to spell it right. Thankfully, she doesn't have to deal with it anymore!
My name is Brandi and I am a congregational care minister at my church and well liked in the community and I definitely didn’t get there by pole dancing or stripping. Nor do I live in a trailer park, not that that’s a bad thing. So maybe you shouldn’t judge so harshly.
In 2018, 29 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Brandi who is registered female with the Social Security Administration. It is the 494th most common female first name for living U.S. citizens.

The name Brandi was given to 108 girls born in the US in 2015.
Being as I have not ever met a Brandi that is older than me, and the social security office has the first Brandi/y recorded in 1965 (as they had me listed a year younger than I actually was) I always make the comment, that I am the original Brandi. Hated the name growing up. No one had it. Only Brandi in elementary, Jr. High and our high school of 1600 students.Best part... everyone remembers me 30 years later. Ha.
My name is Brandi (yes, with an I) and I love it. The only time I think of a stripper, etc., is when I see it with a Y. It just looks horrible. I love when people start singing "Brandy, You're a Fine Girl" to me. It makes me feel so special. I, however, never get associated with the drink. I also like that it's not a very common name, but yet it's still pronounceable.
My name is Brandi and I absolutely love it! I often have people, when they realize that I spell my name with an "i", say "That's such a pretty way to spell it!". I have never had problems with anyone associating my name with liquor of any kind. I have, however, had the trouble of correcting people who try to spell it with a "y" my entire life. Honestly, I think the "i" is better than the "y" because it isn't a direct copy from the drink (But then again, I might be slightly biased.)
This spelling is even trashier than Brandy. What if she wants to have a real job rather than be a stripper? Brandi will always be a dogs' name to me, since one of my aunts has a dog with this name.
It seemed to have been a trend for awhile for young girls to spell their names with an I instead of a Y or IE, like Jessi, Jenni, Brandi, Tiffani, and Kelsi. I know I went through a phase of kreatyv spylyng with my own name. But this name in particular just looks even worse when spelt Brandi, seems even trashier. Even the spelling Brandie doesn't look quite so cutesy and downmarket.
This is my name, and I absolutely hate it. Not only do I have to always inform people "it's with an I," but I am really tired of the jokes about the alcohol. I am sick of people singing the song that goes "brandy, you're a fine girl." I find this name to be tacky and trashy and makes me think of living in a trailer, eating twinkies for breakfast, and chain-smoking while wearing daisy dukes and dirty bare feet chugging a beer in a yard full of broken down cars.I am working on having it legally changed.

TRASHY! I think of a stripper/alcoholic/chainsmoker who wears belly shirt tube tops as daywear. NOT PRETTY!
Brandi Chavonne Massey is an American stage actress, well-known for her performances in various regional productions around the United States, including "Hair", "Dreamgirls", and "Jesus Christ Superstar". She also has performed on Broadway in "Caroline, or Change", "Jekyll & Hyde", and as the understudy of Elphaba in "Wicked", going on for several principal performers until December 2006.
Honestly I hate the name Brandi. It sounds too much like a dramatic name!

My mother gave all of her four of her daughters names that she thought to be unique. I've noticed over the years that people have stopped asking me "does it end with a Y or IE?" Most people will put a Y, a lot of people use I and no one has ever ended it with IE.I think this is a name that will be forever young. I've often thought that when I reach middle age I will stop using my first name and go by my given middle name, Faye.
