A cluster of crocuses peeking through thawing earth, heralding the arrival of spring... like these resilient flowers, Brandusa herself emerges from the frosty grasp of a Romanian winter to paint the world with her fleeting beauty. Sweet, sweet flowerets carried on the breeze... purplish sound and light on the horizon... according to the flowers, Brandusa is a symbol of perseverance and transience, guiding us toward a more hopeful tomorrow.
Brândușa is used in Romania and the Republic of Moldova on a regular basis even though it isn't extremely common. In the Republic of Moldova it's also often spelled as Brînduşa.

As a flower name, I believe Brândușa's name day is Florii, Palm Sunday.
