Seriously? I appreciate that y'all are at least acknowledging this name isn't English. But, for God's sake, couldn't you show some respect? It's very rude and immature to compare Blerta to a vomit sound. There could be people -- children, even -- reading all these negative comments. And you just toss it around like garbage just because of what it sounds like to your uneducated, and, frankly, ignorant ears.
Blerta means life, green colour like the nature which is life, in Albanian language. There are lots of names that sound terrible in different cultures but we have to think of their meaning from the culture they come from.

It is possibly used in a different dialect because I get the word gjelbër meaning green in Albanian, unless the info I am seeing is on a different dialect.
