Élise Pottier, better known by her stage name Berry, is a French singer, originally a theatre actress. Her mother is the singer-songwriter Christine Authier.
Berry is used as nickname for Bernadina.
I think it sounds like a really cute, sweet, quirky girl's name.
I feel like eating one of these! This nickname is super cute.
Unusual but nice name for a boy. Berry Gordy is a cool namesake. I wouldn't use for a girl as it's too masculine sounding.
I feel like it’s a nickname for names that start with “Ber-” e.g. Berengaria.
Sounds very masculine to me.
I think as in the case of the name Lily. Very nice, but it should be used only as a nickname, not as a full name. Why? Because it doesn't age well at all, sounds childish, and in the future, when your daughter is an adult, she may have some problems with that name. If you like Berry so much, choose Beatrice, Berenice, Berinthia, Bernice, Bernadette, Bernadine, Berneen, Bertha, Berthe or Bette, and affectionately call her Berry. I think it is the most suitable option.
It's super cute as a nickname. Nothing more, nothing less.
Silly name.
I think it could work as a potential nickname for Veronica. As a regular name for at least a human, I don’t really like it.
Not-so-famous bearer: Black Happy has a song titled "Mrs. Berri", although it is spelled a little differently.
Strikes me as a nickname for Berenice. Beautiful name.
I would only name a pet this. Very cute and sweet for a cat or bunny, but really awkward for a human. I would actually rather Cherry than this.
Unique but I think the poor girl might get a bit to much hassle for this.
Not BAD hassle but just stuff like "Are you serious? Why did your parents call you BERRY?" It does sound like Barry. Berry is very unique though. Don't know if I would use it.
Really, this is a name? Hmmm. It's OK.
Berry Berenson, born Berinthia Berenson, was a photographer and actress who was married to Anthony Perkins (Norman Bates of "Psycho" fame). She was one of the 58 passengers on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Berry looks rather silly as a given name. There are names in other languages with similar meanings, so why not go for one of those? I admit it sounds cute on animals, though.
Berry Shirayuki (also known as Berry Sue) is the sixth Mew Mew in the sequel to Tokyo Mew Mew, Tokyo Mew Mew Ala Mode. She is a vastly powerful character and largely detested by fans, but she is also quite adorable in some respects.
Just brings 'Strawberry' into my head, and for some unknown reason that name really does my head in. So no, not for me, not really. But I guess it's not terrible.
It sounds sort of cute for a little girl, but a bit corny for grown-ups and even teenagers. Many people might mishear this name as Barry and think the boys' names on girls thing truly has gone too far. The name isn't actually pretty, and it doesn't sound very serious or mature.
I don't think this is a very good name for a person. Maybe a pet, like a rabbit or guinea pig or possibly a hamster, but not a person.
This is such a cute, cool name! Reminds of a youthful, free-spirited person!
I think Berry is a cute little name for a small shy girl.
