It's not terrible, but just Beau is better."Boden" pronounced the same as Beauden is the German word for "floor".

I don't know why people seem to have such a dislike for this name, I think it's quite lovely and unique. I wish this name was more popular, especially with the cute nickname Beau.
It seems to me that it is much more likely that this name is a slight anglicisation of the French surname of Beaudin, which is a patronymic surname that is derived from the given name Beaudin. In turn, the name is a variant spelling of Baudin (which is pronounced exactly the same), which is a diminutive of the name Baud, as it contains the French masculine diminutive suffix -in:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_diminutives_by_language#French (in English)Baud (also found spelled as Beaud) is a medieval French masculine name. It is both the French form of Baldo as well as a short form of French names that contain the Germanic element 'bald' meaning "bold, brave", such as Baudry (from Baldric) and Baudouin (from Baldwin). The latter is also found spelled as: Baudoin, Bauduin, Beaudoin, Beaudouin, Beauduin, Bodoin, Bodouin and Boduin. Also compare Bodin (also found spelled as Boudin), which is a diminutive of French masculine names that contain the Germanic element 'bodo' meaning "command, order":https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudin_(patronyme) (in French)Also see:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaudin (in English; this is about the surname) - https://www.filae.com/nom-de-famille/Beaudin.html (in French; this is also about the surname) - http://www.jeantosti.com/noms/b3.htm (in French; compare the descriptions of the surnames that start with Baud- with the surnames that start with Beaud-) - Related surnames: * Beaudoin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaudoin (in English) * Beaudouin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaudouin (in English) * Beauduin: https://www.filae.com/nom-de-famille/Beauduin.html (in French) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambert_Beauduin (in English).
