Beatrice of Silesia (also known as Beatrice of Świdnica; Polish: Beatrycze świdnicka, German: Beatrix von Schweidnitz ; 1290 – 1322) was a Polish princess member of the House of Piast in the Silesian branch of Jawor-Świdnica and by marriage Duchess of Bavaria and German Queen.
I might be the only one who likes this name but I'm Polish so this doesn't look ugly or weird to me at all, I would never use it though, it's too old-fashioned unfortunately...
Even though I know it isn't, this looks like a ghastly "modern" spelling of Beatrice! (However, I have a feeling that if I spoke Polish, I wouldn't think so.)
Actually, it does sound a bit odd even to Polish speaking people. It sounds somewhat archaic and is connected with literature. Also, it's the only Polish feminine name not ending with "a".

I like this name because of its weird spelling. And I have currently chose this as a first name for a future daughter.
