One of my cousins is called Asha and I quite like it. It's similar sounding to Ashley but much less heard of! I also think the meaning is really beautiful.
It's quite pretty and feminine, and I love the meaning. I see it as being the name of either a very feminine, kind woman, or a tomboy who goes by "Ash."
I like the name Asha as it is not very common but it is very pretty. I only know one Asha who is one of triplet girls.

I LOVE this name. I named my second daughter Asha in 2001. The name is very old and to me, sounds strong and independent. From the Sanskrit language meaning 'hope'.
