Arnošt z Pardubic (1297-1364) was the first archbishop of Prague, close advisor of emperor Charles IV. His name was quite uncommon in Bohemia at the time, however after Arnošt’s death his name became more and more popular. His father was also Arnošt. The region od Kłodzko tried to make Arnošt of Pardubice a saint, however without the help of a more powerful secular leader they met no success. Arnošt was also my great grandpa.
