Antwan Odom is an American former football defensive end. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Antwan Patton, better known by his stage name Big Boi, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known for being a member of the southern hip hop duo Outkast alongside André 3000. Big Boi's solo debut album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty was released in July 2010 to critical acclaim. He released his second studio album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors in 2012. Boomiverse, his third studio album, was released in June 2017.

This looks like what some illiterates might name a baby. It's also hideous looking. And starting with 'ant' doesn't help it. The only times I've heard people pronounce it (in Ohio), they stress the first syllable, not the second.

I can't quite put my finger on what makes this such a silly name, maybe it's the fact that (to me) it looks like it should be pronounced 'ANT-WAN'.
This is the first name of an character in the teen show "One Tree Hill", but the guy goes by the nickname 'Skills'. The actor who plays 'Skills' is also named Antwan (Antwan Tanner).

When parents pick a name like this for their child, it makes me wonder if they specifically don't want the child to be successful. People will assume that either the person himself or the parents are bad spellers. This spelling makes the person and his parents alike look uneducated.
