Anikita

Russian form of Aniketos (see Anicetus).

It should be noted that the proper Russian form of the name is actually Аникет (Aniket). The form Anikita should be based on Ἀνίκητας (Aniketas), just like how the similar name Nikita 1 comes from Νικήτας (Niketas). However, Aniketas does not appear to have existed in Greek, so it looks like Anikita is simply the result from influence of the aforementioned Nikita, which is indeed very similar in Russian.
